"It has been a long time coming and it is well worth the wait. The eagerly anticipated next release from Sunlightsquare is here. This Double-A-Sided EP features an original Salsoul inspired disco/boogie cut called 'Super People', which is coupled with a completely unique reimagining of The Temptations' hit 'Papa Was A Rolling Stone'.

Once again, the brilliant Italian producer Claudio Passavanti has not only torn up the rulebook but he has completely re-written it. Never scared to experiment, Claudio has once again delivered a new set of superb dancefloor creations.

'Super People' features the magnificent UK Jazz Trumpeter Quentin Collins taking the lead on this track, with outstanding vocal supplementation from Tasita D'Mour (Roy Ayers, Kyoto Jazz Massive) and, from Santiago de Cuba, Rene Alvarez.

DJs will be spinning 'Super People' in clubs all over the world and the track will be heard in the middle of Salsoul, Philly and Boogie sets and in more contemporary sets everywhere, dancefloors will be on fire.

'Papa Was A Rolling Stone' revisits this Temptations 1972 Motown anthem and it follows beautifully in the footsteps of Sunlightsquare's 'I Believe In Miracles' and 'Fantasy', and it is true, they all fall into the category of songs you should never cover unless you can do what Claudio can to them. After all, who takes a song like this and has the ability to turn it completely inside out and create a uniquely sounding version that pays respect to the original? Only Sunlightsquare!

'Papa Was A Rolling Stone' features vocals from the very talented Wayne Hernandez, who has sung with Grover Washington, London Community Gospel Choir and Kool & the Gang to name a few, and Wayne delivers a powerful and emotional performance here.

Once again, you can hear Sunlightsquare's signature all over these records, exciting percussion, syncopated rhythm, great vocals and Claudio Passavanti's dexterous keyboard skills." Sunlight Records
